Quant Developer Job in New York, NY
 
Modis is looking for top talent for a Quant Developer Job in New York, NY with our client whom is a Fortune 500 company. Implements information risk processes, executes and monitors risk related procedures, promotes risk policy awareness, and/or tracks and reports on risk compliance in line with established IT Control policies, processes and procedures. Proficient in several IT Controls practices and Project Management, could also include basic Vendor Management experience. This position should typically be used for an advanced or lead level resource.
 
Description
Experienced Quantitative developer to design and develop a high performance distributed framework for loss forecasting models.
 
Skills and Qualifications


  • Prior experience in quantitative or mathematical modeling required
  • Familiarity with statistical modeling approaches desirable
  • Knowledge of C/C++ and Unix required
  • Knowledge of Perl or Python desirable
  • Knowledge of SQL and other data programming languages desirable
  • Good understanding of software development lifecycle and software testing processes required
  • Experience in distributed computing desirable
  • Experience in numerical computing desirable
  • Master's Degree (Quantitative-Related) required
  • Ph.D. Degree (Quantitative-Related) preferred
  • Good oral and written communication skills required
  • Knowledge of credit risk modeling and loss forecasting methodology desirable
